3 Things To Do When You Feel Like Giving Up
Things can be tedious, boring, or seem impossible.
Here are three ways to get back going.
1. Activate PRIDE: Your task may seem boring, but usually, there is at least one thing about it that you like. Finding what you are excited about will motivate you to do the task and evoke a sense of personal pride.
2. REDESIGN: Redesign your task to make it less monotonous. If you go to the gym in the evenings and have the same routine every day, modify the order of your exercises or start exercising in the morning for a change of pace. Get creative!
3. CHANGE the task: You always have a choice. Sticking to the current task is not making you happy and is likely causing stress. Instead of bearing with it, ask yourself what you can do to make it more enjoyable and attractive. You could reward yourself after completion or you could do it with a friend—the possibilities are endless.
